July 1st

There is a link of me on the Brady Bunch show from years ago with Farrah Fawcett and her then-husband, the 6 Million Dollar Man, Lee Majors. Here it is.

I'm still trying to work some things out with Frank Sheftel and we're still laughing at Dame Edna in the theater last week.

July 9th we're going to the Nokia Theater to watch the tribute to Forever Plaid.

I may have some interesting news after the 4th of July. I'll keep you posted.

STILL going to knee therapy. I heard that George Hamilton, the actor, just had it done. It's getting better though.

We lost my friend Fred Travalena. He was 66 years old.

The stories on the web about Michael Jackson are supposed to be jokes, but are so unkind.

Finally went to the dentist! My teeth are ok, but the gums have got to go. Haha!

Harlan Boll opened his new office annex. He is the best!

Still do Radio Bubkis every Thursday on the internet with Rita McKenzie.

Dropped a thank you note to Mark Cherry.

Sent photos to Kathleen Marshall regarding "Anything Goes", and some to Bernie Telsey in New York with the new acting DVD I put together to show casting that we can walk and chew gum at the same time. It does take discipline to last this long.

Sending lots of new photos soon.

There are some funny pictures of me on Flickr. Isn't it funny how people can just post any old subject line and other people will just believe it?

This just in! I am going to be in a parade in the valley for the 4th of July with Frank Sheftel, who's running for City Council. Good luck to Frank.

I got a call recently from Henry Gibson. I just can't thank him enough for his friendship, courtesy and suggestions. Completely out of the blue, which is very rare for this business. Thanks a million, Henry.

Karl Malden just passed away. I guess he left home without 'em... So that's seven people in ten days. I keep getting phone calls with people asking me how I'm feeling!

Happy 4th of July to everyone! More to come and I'll keep you posted.

Oh wait... My old friend Peter Anthony from Las Vegas days at the Sahara Hotel called and it was such great fun to talk to him. We shouldn't lose old friends like that. Life is much too short. I told him to have Pete Barbutti call me too! Without the lounges, there was no Vegas. And we're all still at it.

In closing, my regards to Harlan Boll's new venture, happy birthday to David Galligan and hello to my friend Billy Ray Cyrus!

June 14th

They're doing a show called "Anything goes" on Broadway for the 2009-2010 series. I did a tour of that show a number of years ago with Leslie Uggams and Rex smith which was very successful where I played Moonface Martin. It was directed by the great Jerry Zaks - a real pro and a genius. When Leslie and I did our song "Friendship" we stopped the show. I understand Kathleen Marshall is directing. It's starring Reba McIntyre, who I think is sensational. It would be wonderful to do it again. We had such fun before. Such a marvelous cast. I'll keep you posted with regard to news of an audition.

No word yet from H. Rapp in regards to the Big Show...

June 12th

Here's more information about the Actor's Fund honoring Chita Rivera at Broadwayworld.com

June 9th

Dear folks, here's the latest:

I'm going to be rambling. Since the first of June, I did that benefit for Petco with Jo Anne Worley, Nancy Dussault and Loretta Switt and Jackie Joseph at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. The hotel is magnificent. They all loved the show. Tom Brown and his associate were kind enough to drive from L.A. to San Diego, and back. After the show at the Del Coronado, I stayed overnight and the next morning had Tom drive me to the Globe Theater in San Diego to drop off the DVD and script of my "Big Show." Tell you all about it when I hear more.

I'm back in LA and we filmed the Game Show Network Awards with everyone who's ever been in a game show. Star-studded. If you missed it, they'll repeat it.

My old pal Jon Stewart mentioned my name and showed an old, old picture of me and mentioned my name in the same sentence with VP Cheney. I don't get it, but thank you Jon for the mention and the photo! By the way, here's a clip of me on the Daily Show from 2000.

The night before last, the Actor's Fund TV feed from New York was shown honoring a lifetime achievement for my dear (we have the same birthday) Chita Rivera. Her daughter was there too. At the awards dinner, John Holly sat at the head of the table because Frank Sheftel handled the whole thing. He's running for counselman. At the Tony Awards show, honoring Chita, while we're watching the show live from New York and having a great dinner and a great time. Everybody in show business seemed to be at that dinner.

Joni Berry just remarried and I love that she's so happy! Mitzi Gaynor was charming as hell. Jo Anne Worley, wonderful, Carol Lawrence, beautiful... I was sitting next to my old pal Dick Van Dyke, who was the MC for the evening. We were laughing so much. He's so charming and giving and wonderful. So many movie stars and comedians. So many wonderful people there. It was produced by my "newest best friend" Mark Cherry. With the help of words by Mr. Rambo, it was magnificent. They sure know how to put on a show. I limo'd home and now I'm going to see Dame Edna at the Ahmanson Theater tonight.

Tomorrow a big meeting with David Galligan. Going to get busy busy busy. We have nibbles. I don't have all the stars names that I was introduced to, but they were all wonderful and wonderful to me.

I'm rushing this because my webmaster's sister just had a hysterectomy so I want to make sure he gets gack to her so I can have his attention and get on with my career!

I hope to hear from Howie Rapp and John Waterhouse in Atlanta and the Hawaii theater in Honolulu and theaters in Florida and hopefully the Globe in San Diego.

I spoke with Phyllis Diller yesterday. She's fine and doing a new show online. So, busy busy busy!

Marriete Hartley, charming as ever! Chita's daughter Lisa Mordente, that darling girl, presented the lifetime award to her mother, which was very sweet. We were watching the awards from NY. We couldn't quite understand all of the words Liza Minelli said. Did you all recognize Carrie Fisher? Wow!

I'm surprised to hear that Hair won, because I thought it was supposed to be theater awards...? Maybe it is, and I'm just getting old.

I have lots more to tell, and I'll tell you when my webmaster's sister gets more happy juice and recovers!

I'll get back to to you tomorrow about Dame Edna.

Robby went to a car show :)

Out for now. Keep in touch!

May 30th

We're doing a show at the Hotel Del Coronado for Petco in San Diego tonight. The planes land practically in your backyard by the pool.

I'm jumping subjects now. I did a voiceover reading for another cartoon. Thanks CESD (as in my agents).

The party that Debbie Reynolds took me to at Buddy Hacketts house was wonderful. Met George Segal and his wife and Norby Walters and his wife from the Copacobana. Kelly Lange called me Rip Torn! I could've killed her! I've known her so many years. So I called her Kelly Green. We all laughed. Well, I didn't.

Some actress in Seattle is blatantly doing my act, throwing confetti and singing. I'm going to look into that for damn sure, since I created that act a long time ago. I think Lincoln was in office. It's just annoying that people do that. They're supposed to be so gifted and talented. Well, prove it. How would you all feel?

San Diego is magnificent!

I'm working on taking my Big Show to Florida. Did I mention I'd be jumping subjects?

In closing, don't forget the Game Show Network special on June 6th. Especially the end, where I throw tons and tons of confetti. It's gonna be a lot of fun.

See you all back in L.A. soon. Keep laughing!

May 21st

This is an update for the past week everybody:

Last Sunday I judged the show that Mary Anderson asks me to do every year, which is always fun. They treat me so nice and they adopt all the dogs. It's called Nuts for Mutts. I judged the Best in Show for three or four hours and the winner was my latest hairpiece! It was 104 degrees, but we all had a wonderful time.

On Saturday last week we did the very first Game Show Network Awards. Everyone who's ever done or been in a game show was in that audience. It was sensational! Beautifully televised. It was hosted by my friend Howie Mandel. It honored every tv show host ever, like Bob Barker and Monty Hall. The Brady Bunch, Carnie Wilson, and all of the game show stars were there. I met Ross the intern who was young and charming and I hope he stays humble and sweet. You know this town...

I was on the red carpet and Cloris Leachman grabbed my moustache and kissed me on the neck. We'd done a movie directed by Rob Reiner together, along with Kate Hudson and Luke Wilson, in "Alex and Emma." Charo showed up. You've got to catch the show on June 6th on the Game Show Network. At the very end I came onstage and did my impression of Howie Mandel. I took my hair off, hit him with it - gently - and yelled "I had hair when the show started!" I pushed a lever and two tons, yes two tons of confetti shot all over the building of the Wilshire Theater. I created this confetti idea years ago, but this is the most I've ever thrown at one time and it was unbelievably impressive. I guess that's where other actors and actresses get the idea of throwing confetti. Hmmm... Get it? Anyway, watch the show and see all of the stars that attended.

My dear director friend David Galligan just returned from New York where he directed Tyne Daly in her new singing act, The Feinsteins. The NY Times and every other newspaper is raving about it. Congratulations to both for the well-deserved praise. David is a genius and that's why I'm still with him.

Chita Rivera is coming to town at the Disney Hall and then something for the Actor's Fund and I can't wait to see her.

My darling Phyllis Diller is doing a Q&A session at the Magic Castle in June, and dear Rosemarie is doing one in July for a private show.

My darling Debbie Reynolds has invited me to be her escort this Saturday. We're going to a Hollywood party and we'll no doubt have a wonderful time. She was a big hit at the El Portal theater. Unfortunately, without me. But I was busy throwing my confetti elsewhere. And when I don't throw it, someone else does, according to the emails I've been receiving.

JoAnn Whorley has invited me to go with her to San Diego for lunch with some celebrities. I can't wait. I love JoAnn and I love San Diego.

On February 2nd I was in New York pushing my Big Show at a convention. While I was there, I was asked to do Seth Rudetsky's radio show with Christine Pedi on Sirius Satellite Radio. It's the most popular, brilliant show on the air. Seth invited me to his show called "Chatterbox" at a fun club across the street from Joe Allen's restaurant called "Don't Tell Momma." It was just such fun, I'm still laughing. He actually filmed it and said he'd send me the film on DVD. He had it on his website on Playbill on 2/17/09. It was called Onstage and Backstage. Taylor, the "confetti boy." I finally got a copy of it in the mail today and I do thank him and Christine so much. And Tony Lopez and Sirius Satellite Radio. I'll be doing it again real soon!

Someone told me that the fat man on Howard Stern's Radio show kind of mentioned me in a negative way. I don't understand people sometimes. I've never met the man in my life, but yet he comments in a ridiculous and unkind way. If I said something about them, he'd shit! I don't know or care who he is. Howard was a friend of mine starting out. This guy probably thinks he knows it all, but it's not nice. Now he'll comment more and it will linger, because people have nothing else to do. But I thought I'd mention that this man is not nice. But, I'm still working and still at it. I don't want to make this a big deal, but friends are emailing me and asking what he has against me. I dont know. Let's drop it.

My webmaster's still at it. So am I! There's a lot more to tell. Im waiting for my agent in Florida to get moving. I want to go to Atlanta and I want to o to Honolulu. I do thank all of you for your kind words and patience, because I depend on my dear friend Bill the webmaster.

There's always someone who wants to be funnier than they think the comedian is. Don't forget the Game Show Network show on June 6th! More later. Onward and upward, because I've got a show to do, people!

By the way, I don't Twitter and I don't Skype!

May 4th

Last weekend was the Hollywood Autograph Show. Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, the cast of Mission Impossible, George Kennedy, Mamie Van Doren, Sid and Marty Krofft. I was with John Whitaker and we had a successful two days. Thank you Ray Corts and welcome to the new owners! They treated us very nicely, thank you.

I'm going to ramble now, ladies and gentlemen... I'm getting lots of emails and phone calls with regard to the throwing of glitter and confetti to the song "Happy Days are Here Again" that someone is doing in their performance. It's great that critics at least recognize the source, and I'm still trying to take the high road. It's not easy when you work so hard for so many years to create an image. At least intelligent people know that I'm still doing it.

My name is on the list to possibly be a presenter in the middle of May at the Game Show Network awards at the Wilshire Theater. I'll keep you posted. That would be a lot of fun! Especially after having hosted the $1.98 Beauty Contest all those years ago and being on so many game shows.

Waiting to hear from C.E.S.D., my agents. Hope all is well. Still working on "The Big Show." I hope the ARF dog show in Palm Springs was a success. I'm sure it was.

The lease on my Jaguar is up. I've got a new rental today - my first time in - and driving - a PT Cruiser. I enjoy the driver's seat because it's up high and you can see everything. But when I drove off the lot, after ten minutes, I had an occassion to honk my horn a few times. Well, after the second time of honking the horn, it got stuck! In the 10-15 block area, it got stuck five times! At least ten people gave me the finger!! Isn't that sweet? Anyone who has one of these let me know if this happes to you. I've been horny a lot in my life, but this is ridiculous!

Working on a lot of stuff in this volatile period. I'll keep you all posted, of course.

Since my knee operation I've lost 24 pounds and I was white as a sheet. But I met Svethlana and Jade, who own a tanning company in the valley. I went to them and now I look like I've been to Honolulu for a month, so that helps!

Hope you noticed all the new photographs. Lots more coming!

I'm still going to P.T. three times a week. It seems to be getting better.

I'm still at it!! Meaning performing, of course.

Did you hear about the farmer who had the swine flu and gave it to his pig? I know it sounds like a Polish joke, but it's true!

Rippy - oh and be sure to use my webmaster!

Oh- and check out my Facebook page!

DEAR EVERYBODY, the next thing I say is very important. If anybody in show business reads this, please help me get some information. I've called, written, indan-signaled, smoke-signaled and I just want to meet Judd Apatow. I don't know why I can't seem to get him. If anyone could help me, I'd appreciate it. I just want to meet him. Since he hasn't met me, I'm sure he's not ignoring me on purpose. I'm not going to sell him anything. Just wanna meet him... Anyone who knows how I can get a hold of Judd, email me. I'm serious!

Oh- Chita River is coming to town. I can't wait to see her!!

Hello Liza! Hello David Hyde-Pierce. Good luck in your show honoring Kander and Ebb, with Liza and Chita. The show on Broadway is called Accent on Youth.

Best regards to my dear friend Manny Kladitis, and Jimmy Nederlander Jr.

I completely forgot... I was invited to the TV Land Awards, but the people running it must have sent my tickets to the VIP section and the red carpet walk to the wrong address! PS, let's hold that thought... The same people that ran the Hollywood Parade...

Nutts for Mutts is in the middle of May. I had such a good time last year with Mary Anderson and Shirley Jones and John Cryer and other celebs. I took my darling Sherrie Ritchie. We had such a good time. We put a new leash on life! The animals were just precious.

I'm in constant touch with Mary and Debbie and the gang at the Northern Quest Casino in Spokane, Washington, where I've never experienced such fun on and off stage with these kind, generous, non-jaded people who run the place. From the top to the middle, because there's no bottom there.

Speaking of bottom, I ran into my ex-wife last week. Ooops! Sorry!

April 19th

Today is the TV Land Special where every TV show in the world is having a big To-Do and we're all invited, honoring Sid and Marty Krofft. I'll keep you posted. Everyone in Hollywood is at this show. Johnny Whitaker is a big help to me, especially at the autograph show I'll be at on the 25th and 26th of his month in Burbank.

Forgive me if I keep rambling on, but I want to get it all in quickly:

I've been reading some reviews on the internet sent to me by a lot of my fans, which I wasn't aware of in regards to my friend Carrie Fisher's play in Seattle. Wow, was I was shocked and surprised!

From a review in Seattle, Washington:

"Fisher (understandably) has a love/hate relationship with her Star Wars fame, begrudgingly acknowledging that, were it not for George Lucas's enduring space opera, the audience wouldn't be there: "Forty-five years ago," she says, "George Lucas ruined my life." But from the moment Fisher waddles onto the stage, channeling Liza Minnelli and Rip Taylor, belting out "Happy Days Are Here Again" while tossing glitter into the crowd, it's clear this show is not intended for nerds."

Because I'm still doing it, I'm trying to take the high road, but it's not easy... After all these years... Wow! But I'm still doin' it :)

The rest of the review is on the internet... It's called "Wishful Drinking."

Moving on, I went to gary Marshall's play, which was absolutely delightful. It's called "Everybody Say Cheese", about his family. VERY funny!

Big plans with David Martin!

Also, in constant touch with my darling friends in Spokane at Great Northern Quest Casino. They really are friends for life.

I'm supposed to do that wonderful show the ARF awards for the Dowager of Dogs in Palm Springs, with some other comedians. But I've got a paid job that day, so I can't do it. I'm sorry, Gloria McDermott!

Also in touch with Johnny Knoxville about MetroCircus.com and his dickhouse.com company. Yes, I said that!

David Galligan is in NY with Tyne Daly.

Maurice Stein helped me with some vitamins. I think I have to get a better vitamin man, because the other one doesn't seem to want to answer phone calls... I've called 11 times, believe me.

Press agent Harlan Boll is doing a great job as usual.

Nuts for Mutts called me again. My darling Mary Anderson. I'm going to try to do it like last year and I'll let you all know.

Went to my dentist. My teeth are ok, but the gums have gotta go! Haha!

Did another radio show and had such fun! They're sending me the CD, which I'll post on the website as soon as I get a copy.

In constant touch with my agent in Florida about "The Big Show" and getting a little impatient. I'll keep you posted.

Tomorrow is Frank Sheftel's birthday.

Johnny Grant, the beloved ex-Mayor of Hollywood, just had a wax figure of himself unveiled at Madame Tussauds. He never looked so good!

Nancy Eisner and I are in touch... Love her!

John Waterhouse in Atlanta... I just did his radio show.

Lee Klein - brilliant guy with wonderful radio show. Thank you Lee!

Waiting to hear from my voiceover agent, Pat Brady at C.E.S.D. Hope they call soon!

Leslie Uggums closed at the Pasadena Playhouse after a magnificently successful show about Lena Horne.

Robert Brown, very helpful, very bright is helping me rehearse.

I read Billie Hayes' play. It's wonderful and she has a part in it for me, as does everybody lately, it seems.

Back to the pool therapy again! I'll keep in touch, you do the same.

March 21st

I went to another benefit for AIDS that Marc Cherry, the producer and writer of Desperate Housewives, that he gave in Hollywood. Hope we raised some money. Debbie Reynolds and I are still on the phone laughing and talking. The STAGE benefit is today and tomorrow. David Galligan directing. Brilliantly again!

I'm still going to therapy to strengthen the muscles in my leg.

Going to see Gary Marshall's new one-man play at the Falcon Theater in Taluca Lake, called "Everybody Say Cheese." He and I will be talking about the Big Show soon!

Still looking for a car for myself. I'll keep you posted.

Jane Fonda opened on Broadway to great success.

"Flo" Seifman got honorary mention at the STAGE show. Ask him about it.

David Galligan and I are talking about a potential tour...

I'm not going to the autograph show in Chicago with Tony Curtis and Angie Dickenson. Too much trouble.

Sherry Ritchie and I caught up. Nanci Eisner called from NY with distressing news. I'll keep you posted.

The Society of Singers invited me to ... well, I'll keep you posted.

Lots more to tell next week.

Thank you Leeza Gibbons and your staff for making me look 100% better. Thank you SheerCover.

Harlan Boll is doing a great job!

Sending a lot of photographs. Keep in touch. More news in a few days!!

March 4th

Dear friends. I'm going to see Kirk Douglas' new one-man play, called "Before I Forget" at his theater here in California. It's already sold out! Perhaps I could put my Big Show there, but we'll see.

My PR gentleman, Harlan, has got me doing lots of radio interviews and tributes for Carol Channing, Florence Henderson and charities we're all connected with.

I'm so glad I'm not in NY City with that damn snow again. I love L.A. and I'm getting better.

As I speak, I'm on hold with Bonnie Hunt on the phone.

I'll be going to the David Galligan-directed charity benefit for STAGE at the Wilshire theater on March 21-22 with all my friends in it. It's ALWAYS a big hit!

The Hollywood Autograph Show is scheduled in Chicago. They've asked me to go on March 21-22 with Angie Dickinson and Tony Curtis and lots of other names. But on April 25-26 it's in Burbank... but the one in Chicago, they want me to co-host their morning show on WGN. Decisions, decisions... I'll keep you all posted.

Still working on the Big Show!

More updates to come later. Thanks to my webmaster!!

February 17th

I'm going to be rambling on everybody, so you'll have to catch up! This is the past seven weeks!

I waited for a year to push my Big Show and finally took it to the Association of Performing Arts Presenters Conference in NYC at the Hilton, January 8th thru the 14th, with Howie Rapp, Joey Allison, the great Ari Gadori. I met so many theatrical producers, directors, actors, performers and ran into so many familiar faces, including my darling Florence Henderson, among a thousand others, to discuss the Big Show.

Lunch with Christine Pedi, before I did the radio show with her at Sirius Satellite Radio and the great Seth Rudetsky. More about that later.

Nothing but fun, nothing but total theatrical information. Many dinners with Joe Allen, Bob Nahas, who was my guide and trainer while I was in New York. And dinner with Alan Leider and Eddie Perritti. Also at Joe Allen's private, chic club, Centrale, with a lot of stars. Jeremy Irons was walking out as I was walking in. Speaking of Actors, the day I arrived in New York, fourteen, count 'em, fourteen Broadway shows closed due to the volatile economy. My luck. but there were a few open. Pal Joey, Equus, Blithe Spirit with Angela Lansbury and Christine Ebersol which was in rehearsals, as was Waiting for Godot among others like West Side Story. The pictures will be included in the photo gallery.

One night my darling Christine Pedi took me to a private showing with Michael and his friend the Birthday Boy. The show was wonderful. It was called Divas I Have Known. It was just exquisite.

Another night I ran into Christine Pedi... Again! And Ted Seifman "Mr. Ziegfield", who took me to a private dinner for my birthday.

Never again am I going to NY in the winter! the next day, some results of the convention buyers of the Big Show... but more about that later when we book it...

I went to the nightclub world equivelent of the Tony's: The Nightlife at Town Hall. Stars, stars, stars! What a show. Stars on stage, stars in the audience,

I met Jamie DeRoy in a restaurant. She was also going to be in the audience of the Nightlife Awards, and she was going to be escorted by my dear old friend Larry Gatlin, who we had done the television shows with Mike Douglas and Merv Griffin with over the years, and he was in New York and going to appear in the Nightlife Awards. Some of the stars who won awards were Christine Ebersole, Billy Stritch, Liza's oldest friend and conductor, Marilyn Maye, Keith Carradine, Tommy Tune, and the MC was the funny Judy Golde. It was a star-studded evening and I was getting my picture taken with everybody. It was so flattering. Also, while I was there, I went to physical therapy for my knee, which is getting better.

I ran into - I want you to brace yourselves, everybody - and this is true - I ran into the second girl I ever proposed years ago, before I finally married the gorgeous showgirl in Vegas, Rusty. The first girl was Patty Phillips. The second was Nancy Eisner, who's now living and working in New York. The third was Rusty, who I married. So I meet Nancy in her office. She works for Moses and Singer on the top three floors of the Chrysler building. I met her and her employers and the gang at the office. It was just magnificent. They were so kind and generous. It seems that I had dumped, rejected, left, walked out on Nancy after we were engaged to be married, even to the point where Ed Sullivan announced it on his television show. I went to Vegas, met Rusty and married her instead. Nancy seems to have never forgotten that, but did move on. But she still brought it up. She's still charming and beautiful. We had a great time. Then Rusty and I separated. She married someone else and I moved on. Every time I hear about or read about the "gay" Rip Taylor, it's rather amusing. They can print whatever they want, can't they? And they do, and they have. It's outrageous. I'm not about to get into it, but I just think that it's amusing. People will believe what they want. God forbid you should be funny and straight.

Since I've never brought this up before, I've been doing prop comedy for forty years. I never in my life said or implied that I created prop comedy, but having done it for so long and to have someone else come along and do prop comedy - and using the same props and lines that they took from me - and call themselves the King of Prop Comedy is ludicrous and stupid and two-faced. Oops. Did I say that?

Anyway, moving on, snow every day. Black Ice. Sleet. Hail. Every day! Rosie O'Donnell opened a new school for children called Rosie's Broadway Kids. It's a wonderful break for kids, giving them a new lease on life and a place to show their talent on and off Broadway without having to wait to grow up. She dedicated one of the rooms to my darling Chita Rivera who is a good friend of both mine and Rosie's.

Leslie Uggams is knockin' em dead in the Lina Horne Story at the Pasadena Playhouse. Sold out houses.

Minskys, which openend in downtown L.A., opened with less than perfect reviews. I know they'll fix it with the talent they have over there.

I hope the producer, Kevin McKulloun, keeps me in line for my big show one day. We met when I was doing Sugar Babies with Juliet Prouse in Atlantic City.

David Galligan, my director, is doing another STAGE" with a lot of talent, honoring George and Ira Gershwin.

I did my interview with the great Seth Rudetsky on the radio. I cannot tell you how kind and wonderful and giving he is. We did it a club called Don't Tell Mama, which is directly across the street from Joe Allen's. He wrote a wonderful review of our interview and was just so wonderful and flattering and kind. Everyone was laughing... He didn't leave out a thing. He's so bright. Seth is the host of Seth's Big Fat Broadway on Sirius Satellite Radio. Ask Seth about it and don't miss his show.

Next, congratulations to Ted Seifman, on his reading of First Wives Club. How did it go?? Everyone look it up.

I got back into L.A. where I belong and after meeting my wonderful bankers in New York, who took me to lunch at the ice rink at Rockefeller Plaza with Julie Min and Craig Richards. A lot of fun seeing the office people. I'm going to sign... the document!

When I got back to L.A. I decided to go Wayne Harada tribute in Honolulu on February 22nd. I love seeing my old friends from the Islands. I find I may be working and unable to go so I filmed myself in a fur coat in NY in the snow saying I couldn't make it. And then, if I find I could've made it I was going to walk into the room in that same fur coat, saying "I made it!" throwing confetti.

I also spoke with Bonnie Hunt and I'll be doing that show soon. I also met with Sid and Marty Kroftt in regard to another show they're doing. I did Sigmund and the Sea Monster for them years ago.

Ran into Debbie Reynolds, who sends love to everybody. I heard a joke from Bill Maher that was absolutely brilliant, about the woman with the eight babies. I told Jack Martin and Phyllis Diller. She absolutely screamed. It's so brilliant. Ask Bill what it was.

I'll be putting up photos soon. I sent a photo to Jimmy Nederland jr. That he and I took at the Pantages theater while he was here. I called my dear friend Manny at Nico productions, but couldn't make it over there due to the snow. I'll be back soon though... when it's warmer! I don't know how I lived there in the winter before. But Bob Nahas was my only hope and friend who helped me get around.

Working on material. Spoke to my friends at Northern Quest Casino in Spokane. Love those people. I understand shows are closing in Vegas. Saw Ruby Boxcar and discussed her horoscopes. Ran into my darling Sherry Ritchie. Still more gorgeous than other.

I've still got much more to tell real soon. Keep looking for the new pictures in my gallery. Keep watching Bonnie, because I'll be on it soon. Believe everything I'm telling you, not the things on websites that just spew BS. It's just ridiculous.

I'm doing radio for Robert Conrad's show. Yes, that Robert Conrad and another benefit with Florence Henderson. Keep you posted.

I'm now on Facebook, so be kind you bastards!

This just in as we're typing. I'm doing an interview with Peter Anthony Holder. It will be Wednesday night at 11pm and then Thursday night on a different station. Wednesday night is CKAD, Thursday is on CFRB on National Canadian Radio. I'll give you more information later everybody! I just said yes this minute.

February 4th

Back from New York - and I flew back during the worst time of my entire recollection of winter. Every day was five degrees or a little higher. I've not experienced anything like I did this time of year before in regard to Mercury being in retrograde. What that means to laymen is from January 11th to February 4th, whatever can go wrong will go wrong. Miscommunications, things going haywire, anything you sign will go the wrong way... anything! All of your assumptions will go wrong. You can buy nothing because it will break. Cars, computers, all of it. You cannot go into business because there will a major problem. Happens every time, financially and professionally. That's not just for me. That holds true for everyone. I'll explain more later, but let me tell you the first thing that went wrong on the 11th of January:

I was talked into flying Jet Blue airline from California to NY. I got on the plane, they gave me the wrong seat. I paid for leg room but there was none. We were all boarded after one hour. The captain came out of the cockpit and told us the plane had no "de-icing" material and that we would have to wait a few hours while they had a messenger go to Long Beach airport to get the de-icing material. Like fools, we waited. After three hours, we all got the idea that it wasn't coming. We got off the plane, could not find our luggage and I got a ride home. Total wasted time: five and a half hours. The next day I caught the flight to NY and I'll continue this story in a few days.

Needless to say, because of the whole Mercury-Retrograde thing, I signed nothing. I bought nothing. Lots more to tell with regard to theater, shows, money, jobs and work in a few days! Keep in touch. You won't believe 1/2 of it, but it's all true. You'll see. Now I'm back in L.A. with the aggravated knee... You're gonna love all the stories I've got to tell!! Thanks for your patience, Happy New Year late, Mercury is out of retrograde, and thank Jesus! See you soon.

January 13th

My birthday! I can't thank everyone enough for the gifts galore! Thank you all. Notes are on the way.

I'm cutting to the chase because I'm going to NY. I'll be there four or five weeks because I'm going to a convention and talking up my BIG show...

January 1st

As of today, parties parties parties! More about all of those later. Waaaay too busy having fun to jot all this down now.

December 29th

Let's go backward a few days everybody: The party on Norma Place was magnificent. With new friends and old friends alike.

The John Bohab party was totally star-studded and first-class. Cocktails and a sitdown dinner on the roof, overlooking Hollywood. Just spectacular. Thank you John. Thank you Ted Zigfield. Waiting for the photos to come! Debbie Reynolds was there. She's going to go to a short vacation in Hawaii, which she desperately needs. She looked great.

I understand since Carol Channing had a slight mishap, that they've repleced her in that engagement in the Indian Casino that I worked in in Spokane, Washington, with the great Mitzi Gaynor. It's going to be fun.

Ran into my darling Bunny Stivers. Can't wait to go lunching with her. She was always so charming, and still is. Looking forward to Barbara's New Year's Eve party, which she invited me to. Barbara Sanders, that is.

Spoke to Eartha Kitt's family. That was quite a shock. The world will sure miss her. I've known her for years. We laughed together a lot.

Going to New York to drum up my career business. "Keep you posted."

Been getting some very funny Christmas cards from Phyllis Diller.

The Butter Machine. Yes, I said Butter Machine from Manny at Nicko productions, they're the ones producing Liza's show at the Palace. Very cute machine. I'd seen Liza's act in Vegas before she went to New York.

I'm still going to swimming pool/water therapy just to give enough stamina to walk around the streets of New York. Keep you posted.

Looking forward to getting together with Chita Rivera, Bob Nahaus and Alan Leider at Joe Allen's for our annual birthday party on January 13th at Centrale's.

About Dr. Seigler's knee operation: He had it on Monday and in three days he was walking and having dinner and climbing stairs and I'm still in therapy! Physical and mental. I'm happy for him... but not so happy for me right now. But I guess it takes time.

Looking forward to New York, but not the cold.

I spoke to a few doctors about the financial bailout, and these are the results:

The allergists voted to scratch it.
The dermatoligists advised not to make any rash moves... wait it gets worse.
The neurologists thought they had a lot of nerve.
The obstetricians felt they were laboring under a misconception.
The pediatricians said "Oh, grow up"
The radiologists could see right through it.
The surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing.
It gets worse even...
The plastic surgeon said "This puts a whole new face on the matter."
The urologist felt the scheme wouldn't hold water.
The cardiologist didn't have the heart to say no.
Now, get ready for the punchline:
In the end, the proctologists left the decision up to some assholes in Washington.

When you've finished reading that, keep in touch! And I'm off to another new year's eve party.

By the way, last Christmas I laid a doll under a tree.

Happy/Healthy!

Rippy

December 15th

Over the past weekend, I've been invited to exactly nine Christmas parties. They were all different and sensational, especially in this economy. George Lopez and his lovely wife Ann and their lovely daughter Myan threw one of the best. I can't choose a "best", because they're all so different. Lots of stars at each. George Lopez, Steve Carell, Mary and Fred Willard - I spent the evening at their table. We did nothing but laugh... and point. They're such lovely people, because they both had knee surgery as I did, and came out of it just great. Mine was last year around this time. Yes, I said last year! It still hurts like hell. Ask me later for details.

At the party also were many many stars. Billy Ray Cyrus and his son (that's Miley Cyrus' father), and the cast of George's show. Many directors and producers. Sid and Marty Krofft were there! George Pennachio from channel 7. Rick Dees and his lovely wife and Richard Karn from the Tim Allen Show were also there.

I had my limousine drive me home, which I was the guest of, and enjoyed it!

Lots of people from the Bonnie Hunt show were there, which I will be doing live before I go to New York, January 4th for a month for the convention to push my BIG Show. That's going to be exciting!

Bonnie Hunt's people have a sketch they want me to do. I adore her and her people. They're so wonderful. Don Lake especially. I'll keep you posted when I'm doing it.

Looking forward to attending John Bohab's Christmas party. It was kind of him to invite me. I'll probably run into "Flo" Seifman!

Been working with Ruby a lot.

Lunch this week with Ryan Tredinnick to discuss something involving the Game Show Network. They're the best!

Christine Pedi's review in the New York Times was superlative. Congratulations Christine! Can't wait to see the show.

Sending out my brand new, original Christmas cards. If I had your addresses, you'd get one, but I don't, sorry!

My friends in Honolulu, Jack Cione and his lovely wife are on a cruise ship around the islands right now. My friend Larry, is looking for a condo for me there. Paulette Watson is also looking. I adore her. And Lani Paet was such a good help. Looking for the "zapper." Will let you know.

Spoke to Jimmy Emerson about the future of a little revue we do.

I got a call from the Parliament House, specifically Susan in Orlando, about possibly appearing there. She called at 5am, forgetting the time change in L.A. I kind of reminded her... I think she got the idea. I love her and I'll keep you posted.

Also saw the wonderfully directed, by Galligan, my director, of Leslie Jordan's new play. Very entertaining.

I hear Liza Minelli's opening was superb. We saw it in Vegas where she broke it in. Pretty good for a girl with two hip replacements! But the NY Times adored her, as we all do.

Looking forward to seeing Chita Rivera, Bob Nahas and Alan Leider. Can't wait to hang out at Joe Allen's restaurant and private club upstairs when I go to New York. Can't wait to work with Howie Rapp, my dear manager's father passed away. Condolences to David Martin.

Bob Lundall: See you at your party!

Dr. Seigler, my great, brilliant doctor is having a knee replacement very very soon. Welcome to the club! I go to pool therapy every three days for my knee, and it helps. Doctor Taylor, signing off!

Happy Christmas, Happy New Year's, Happy Holidays, Happy Kwanzaa and any other Holiday you can think of that's coming up!

My Birthday is January 13th. Hint! Hint! HINT! HINT!

PS: Another doctor told me to swallow two Advil after a hot bath. I'm still trying to swallow the hot bath. Oh well, hope it works!

To Mary Lein and the gang at the Northern Quest Casino in : Love and kisses, all is forgiven, can I come home? And Mary, I understand you had the other foot operated on. Best foot forward!

And in closing, love to Phyllis Diller and I'll miss Tony Charmoli's magnificent party every holiday and Joni Berry and Mitzi Gaynor.

I understand when I go to New York that there is a new gay bar that opened there that everyone is going to it. It's fun and wonderful and it's called "Liza Minelli at the Palace." Film at 11.

November 30th

So I went to the "Actor's and Others for Animals" luncheon on Saturday, Nov. 15th, honoring the darling wonderful Carol Channing. I got there early. It was a lovely hotel, the Universal Hilton. The first to arrive was Bruce Velanch and then the marvelous press agent Harlan Ball who handled all the P.R. so wonderfully as he always does. Then Ann Rutherford came. We're all forming in the green room before the show and the auction - I wanted to bid on the trip to Tahiti. Next in was Florence Henderson, Tom and Carole Cook, David Galligan and Henry Gibson, who is now a judge on Boston Legal which had a wrap party last week. Chuck McCann said it was wonderful. He was also one of the judges. We saw him at the luncheon. In the green room came Mary Jo Catlett, who was in the original Hello Dolly with Carol Channing. I was wearing her old wig on the dais. Then I ran into Ruta Lee and Billy Barnes! Then came Carol and her husband Harry. They're so sweet, and so friendly. Carol was in her wheelchair but she's coming along nicely. Wish I could say the same! Oh, and so many others were there, like Jo Anne Worley. Peter Marshall, Jaime Farr, Tippy Hedron. Mary Ann Mobley and her husband, the fabulous Joni Berry and my newest-oldest friend, the wonderful Lily Tomlin. We all had a marvelous time, except that I had to go on first, which I hated. But still... a great time!!

I told you about the Mitzi Gaynor evening at the academy with Jack Carter and his wife and Norm Crosby and his wife, as well as Carl Reiner. Simply marvelous!

Linda Hope, Bob's daughter, was so gracious. And the tribute to David Galligan, given by the APLA at Neiman Marcus where they gave him an honorary award for helping fight AIDS was very successful. My darling Valerie Peterford performed, as did Betty Garrett. Funnier than ever, as were Carole Cook and Tom. And of course my dear darlings Pat and Larry Gelbart.

Then of course there were more benefits and more parties. Getting ready for my Big show at the convention in New York.

I'll be adding new pictures to the gallery soon. Keep your eyes open for that!

I'm not doing the Hollywood Parade this year. I did it last year. I think that was the end of it. They're not having any more this year from what I'm told, due to the economy.

On Halloween I went as a tax cut, and no one recognized me.

I'm going to Pool therapy to strengthen the muscles in my left leg. Since the knee replacement, I need it! It just takes time.

Going to New York soon. I'll tell you more about that later.

My friend Wayne Harada, entertainment guy for the Honolulu Advertiser newspaper for all those wonderful years is about to stop. I will miss his work daily, but I can't wait to see his next move, but I'm sure he and Vi will do well. I can't wait to see them in Honolulu. We'll have dinner at Ko's. Our favorite! KO is the best. We'll take Paulette Watson and Valerie Lamereau and all of my Hawaiian family. Let's have a Luaua for my birthday in January!

Bonnie Hunt's office called again. Said they'd call back and that we could work out something soon. I can't wait. I love her show.

I'll be in New York in January, so let's fill in November with all the parties and get it over with!

Did anyone see Rosie O'Donnell's variety show on television? The 2nd day after the reviews were in my crazy manager booked me on the show.

Hope to spend some time with my darling Debbie Reynolds at Christmas, if possible. That is, if she's not on the road.

Lots more to tell soon.

Phyllis Diller sent me the funniest Christmas card. Now I've got to top that!

Tony Charmoli was wonderful in Mitzi Gaynor's film. My darling Nancy Eisner called after all these years. We're going to get it on again when I go to New York. Ooops! Did I say that?

Renting a car until I finally buy a new one.

Hired a trainer for my knee. Hope that helps.

I made a phone call to the Ahmanson theater in L.A. with regard to a new show there called Minsky's Follies. I did Sugar Baby's for four years and maybe there's a part for me. I called the producers because I had met Bob Martin in NY when he was starring in the Drowsy Chaperone on Broadway. He has a lot to do with this show, so I called the producer and I got to Bill Haber's office and his secretary told me who was casting, but it's already cast except for the part of Molly, as of this writing. I do Howard Minsky so well... but anyway, can't wait to see the show when it gets to L.A.

Now I'm just rambling.

Working daily on my Big Show with Ruby! Very interesting.

Thanksgiving was very nice. And now it's almost December!

Anyway, I'll talk to you all next week with more news!

Perhaps Ellen Degeneres will call me to do her variety show! It's a little different from Rosie's!!

Lots to tell in a few days.

October 29th

The lease on my Jaguar is finally up and I will miss it. But I'm getting a new car! I'll let you know what it is as soon as I know... Meanwhile, TAXI!! PS, with the volitility of the stock market, I'll be driving that damn cab! Isn't it terrible?

I did the Bob Hope Memorabilia show and it was just a lot of fun, at the Beverly Hilton hotel. Thank you Harlan! The best press agent ever!

I'll be skipping around, so follow me here...

I've been invited to be on the dais honoring my darling friend Carol Channing for the "Actor's and Others for Animals" luncheon on Saturday, Nov. 15th, honoring darling Carol at the Universal Hilton Hotel. A lot of stars will be there and they asked me to join them. I can't say no to my darling Jo Anne Worley. Keep you posted on how it goes.

On Nov. 3rd, the Actor's Fund is honoring the most brilliant David Galligan. Keep you posted.

I also went to the funeral service for my darling Richard Blackwell. MR. Blackwell to you. It was truly star-studded, touching and like him, first class. He and his partner had been together for 60-something years. It was a lovely afternoon. All the stars appeared in the daytime.

I still want to read, and I probably will, for the part of the Wizard in Wicked. I've heard all my life from everyone "were you the Wizard in the Wizard of Oz?" and "Were you Captain Kangaroo?" I wasn't either, but I did wear Frank Morgan's - the original Wizard of Oz - costume that he wore in the movie at Debbie Reynold's museum when we had it in Las Vegas, and it fit like a glove. So, I'll keep you posted about that reading. A lot of these blogs that are around are so full of BS. Shame on them for making stuff up. I mean an awful lot of it is wrong. For instance, Wikipedia said my name is Christopher Gutridge! I had my Webmaster get it changed, but where do they get that BS from? Some of it's true, but when you want to correct it, they say they can't change it... After all this time, you'd think they could get the facts right. I've paid my dues and still am (and BUSY BUSY BUSY).

My friends at Northern Quest Casino and I still keep in constant touch. Because they're my friends and this is America. I love them.

Lunch with "Flo" Seifman was interesting with all the news on the Rialto. Good luck in his show!

Galligan and I are working harder than ever. Busy busy busy busy! He's such a talented man and a warm and great friend. But don't tell him I said so.

Give my love and apologies to Miss Carol Propp for not keeping in contact, but I'll try to do better.

I got a wonderful phone call from the Great John Kenley, who gave me my first job in the legitimate theater. I'll be grateful the rest of my life. He's 101 years old and still one of the funniest men. And he still calls me El Dorado. I love that man. He started so many careers and he's still at it.

For Halloween, I'm going to go dressed as a comedian. For sure no one will know me!!! Because I'm going as Christopher Gutridge, whoever the shit he is. Thank you Wickiwhatevera. If they can make up things, so can I.

Went to the dentist. My teeth are perfect, but... the gums have gotta go...

I'm making a new movie called Sex, Bags and Rock n' Roll. I'm playing all the parts. Wish me luck! It will be appearing in trailer parks all over the country. Because I am not committed to my comfort.

Going to the Mitzi Gaynor evening at the academy Nov. 13th. I expect it will be a lot of fun, because Mitzi is always fun.

Thank you Ed Decker in San Francisco!

Thank you Robert O'Donald and Melissa Brown at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences where I'm a member in good standing. That's where they're having Mitzi's tribute.

Going to see a lot of theater this week. Keep you posted. And remember, if you ever get a price on your head... take it.

Thank you to the Cash family! I love you always. Rip Taylor and Chistopher Gutridge, whoever the hell he is...!

Good luck to the Murder Mystery show in Spokane at the Northern Quest Casino. I know it's gonna be a big hit, written by Robert Brown and produced by the friendly, warm, professional, courteous, elegant, magnificent, frisky, keen and obedient... can't think of any more... Kimmy Emerson and Starr Pro Productions.

October 5th

Bonnie Hunt's people called me twice but we haven't connected yet. We will soon. I'll keep you posted. I love her new show. My webmaster erased all of the old stuff from this website, so onward and upward! Because we're all rejuvenated and since Governor Palin's speech, life goes on. I'm not sure what that means, but I had to say it. PS: Hello Tina Fey.

I know I've mentioned the "Big Show" before, but I've got new revisions! It's going to be a lot of fun.

September 30th

It's come to my attention that whenever I mention therapy - and this is the last time I ever will - it seems that people think I'm sick or dying. I died once in Baltimore, but there's no proof. It's not true. But I digress. The therapy is to strengthen my leg. It's working fine, so that's end of that. So you all stop worrying about me. I don't have time for that and neither do you. So moving on...

Still waiting for a call from the folks doing the George Carlin special... keep you posted

I got a call again from Bonnie Hunt's office. I'll keep you posted on that too.

Tonight is the Sportsman's Lodge Empire Ballroom Professional Society Dancer's Ball honoring Danny Daniels and Russ Tambyn. It's always so much fun with Mitzie Gaynor as hostess and Joni Berry.

I got invited to the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences on Monday October 6th, for the sold-out evening honoring comics from Standup-to-sitcom. Phyllis Diller, and I'll be there. They're honoring Brad Garrett, Bob newhart, Ray Romano, and a lot more and that will be a lot of fun. Looking forward to that.

Last week I was asked to do a television promo to help sell Bob Hope's charitable foundation memorabilaia. I filmed my part. It will be on television. The proceeds benefiut US veterans and will be broadcast live by the Auction network. We film it on the 17th with a lot of folks and it will be shown on the 18th/19th of October. Lot of stars and a lot of laughs.

I was invited to see 9 to 5, the new musical opening in LA and headed to Broadway. Keep you posted.

I'm meeting David Galligan to revamp the "Big Show."

Oh! Something just came up: Rosie O'Donnell is going to have a variety show on NBC. I had "my people contact her people" to suggest how much fun we might have on her show. Keep you posted.

Thank you Chauncey Smith for your help.

Nov. 2nd: Thalian's Ball honoring Clint Eastwood. But I will be unable to attend that one due to previous commitments. I'll keep you posted though... I'll be busy doing the "Big Show."

I'm in constant touch with my darling Ronni at Flutter Fetti Party Time to hopefully represent them but I'll keep you posted.

Don't miss the APLA is honoring the great David Galligan on November 5th for his contributions to AIDS and his talent. It's such an honor to know him.

Phyllis Diller just sent me the funniest card. She always does. I can't thank her enough. Full of laughs! I love her friendship and her love.

I'm planning on going to Actor Fest on November 8th. It will be such fun in a workshop. I hope to be on a panel. These things are right up my alley and always fun. I'll be in the L.A. version, not the N.Y. version! But I hope to be in NY for Christmas.

Always more to tell, but I've got to get going now because Governor Pailin is on the other line and I have to explain to her what she said at the debate!

September 29th

Since I'm back from Spokane, I miss all of the gang from the casino, and they miss me. We had such a great time. I go to therapy because of my knee, still. Some of my friends who are stars have had troubles with their aches and pains as well, but we all still go on... stage. That's show business!

I got a call Friday from the Bonnie Hunt Show. I'll keep you posted when/if we're going to do it. I get a feeling it will be real soon. You'll all be the twelfth to know.

David Galligan and I are re-vamping the "big show." I'll keep you posted.

I owe the Larry Gelbart's a dinner. I'll make my calls to my darling Phyllis Diller and Debbie Reynolds. I already gave my love to Carol Channing and her husband and Carol Cook.

Ted Seifman (Mr. Ziegfeld) is telling me he feels a lot better. I hope he does.

Professor Howard Rosenberg just returned from Europe happy and healthy!

Mercury is in retrograde as of September 23rd thru October 15th. So please do not sign ANY papers. Everything will go wrong. Don't do any deals until retrograde is over.

I'm looking to lease a new car. I looked at Caddies, the Lexus, Audi's and Mercedes. I don't know what to do. I'm not really a car person.

I'm talking to Sirius Satellite Radio every other day and I'm waiting for another call to do my act again soon. In the mean time, I'm planning on doing my "Big Show." Look for new photos and information in a few days. Especially on the Game Show Network and Bonnie Hunt, as I said before. Film at 11.

Don't forget you never get a 2nd chance to make a 1st impression!
